Here is what happened at the Bonsai Society of WA Gathering About Bonsai held in Bunbury September 2018 The GAB weekend in Bunbury was held at the Bunbury Art Gallery, with Irish international bonsai presenter Ian Young The “mini convention” was well attended with 35 People enjoying the two day workshop, most being from Bunbury and Busselton. The weekend was organised to foster interest and camaraderie between our club and bonsai enthusiasts from the southwest region. All present were impressed with the group enthusiasm, including Ian Young, who emphasised the importance of networking, sharing his thoughts on how club members grow under club guidance and club dynamics. Here you can see Ian with before, mid and after Juniper Demo shots, plus some lecture and workshop images. Since this event a local club "Bonsai South West" has formed, and the BS of WA is proud to have supported them. |
